The Little Monster Who Didn't Like To Wake up

mornings aren't my thing. I don't know who invented them, but I do know that I'm not very fond of this person!

I've struggled with waking up as long as I remember.
when I was a younger and a Cuter me, my dad would wake me and my sister up. and we, as the angels we were back then, would put a smile on our face and get ready for another fun day at school.
but we don't live in a Fairy Tale, so this wasn't what happened.
instead, it was the opposite of that.

my dad always came to our room to wake us up.

my older sister woke up and got dressed for school (she was like that one kid in every class, who brought an apple for the teacher).

I tell ya, I'm nothing like her when it comes to waking up.

no, with me it went something like this:
every morning he would come to wake me up, and I fell asleep as soon as he left my room.
he always came back in even though he knew he would start World War III (applause for my dad! he had the courage to wake me up every morning!)

after 20 minuter or so, I got up and started the next fight... but now it was my moms turn to overcome the power of this little monster who did not like to wake up.

my mom and I would always pick my clothes the night before. I chose what I wanted to wear the next day and was happy with my choice. well, I wasn't that happy with my outfit the next morning!
I WASN'T GOING TO WEAR THOSE CLOTHES! and my dear mother tried to put me in my picked outfit. as I mentioned, I was a monster and there was no way she was going to get me dressed.

so after a lot of screaming, shouting, crying, hugging and holding my breath until my face went purple, I got to pick a new outfit.

... did I mention I was between the age 3,5 and 12?

this was my 'normal'morning routine.
so, if everything went 'normal', I would be on time at school.
this.
my hair would be done, (my normal hairstyle was to have two little tails on each side of my head), but there were times that I didn't want to wear them so my mom and I would get in a new argument... but that's something I will tell you about another time...

I would love to read your waking up stories! you can leave yours with a simple comment!

and if you could suggest something you want to know about me... you know where to go!

thanks for reading!
